很难确认Angela McCluskey声音的爆发力究竟有多强，只是每当她的声音响起时，就有一种核弹头的幅散效应,是对她歌声最恰如其份的形容。首打单曲《It’s Been Done》就像一支歌声浓缩剂，冲冲泡泡就够你消化一下午，欲发而未发的嗓音就那么卡在Angela McCluskey的喉间，而听其的后果就是让你不由自主的寂寞难耐，这样一来，反倒是背景声中浑圆饱满的变体Reggae乐的精彩可以忽略不计了。
开始时，始终有这么一个感慨，那就是Angela McCluskey的声音是出现了不该在她出现的时代，她那旧砂皮加钝刀式的嗓音用在如今已成街乐的“非主流摇滚”上，显然有些档次过高了，她的去处应该是那些暗夜里骚动的爵士坟地。不过，再仔细听下来，如《Somebody Got Lucky》里听她娓娓磨蹭而来的声音，倒又恍然大悟，原来让Angela McCluskey出现在这个时代的最大理由，就是用她来折磨摇滚乐的，在把那些学院化的沙哑和486的吉它Solo平衡打破后，我们听到的摇滚乐，就是Angela McCluskey给我们带来的真正原始的燥动，用爵士精神的魂魄改进后的摇滚乐。
