97年娜塔莉发行第一张专辑《Left of The Middle》，以中性的流行摇滚风格和澳洲独特的女性特色狂卷英美两地，一首〈Torn〉更是轰动全球的失恋国歌，专辑不但刷新非美籍新进女歌手进军美国歌坛纪录，也创下650万张全球销售佳绩，还一连推出〈Big Mistake〉、〈Wishing I Was There〉、〈Smoke〉等四首畅销单曲，在90年代晚期兴起的女性摇滚风潮中，成功转换原本‘澳洲肥皂剧女主角’印象，创造自己的音乐版图。2001年第二张专辑《百合之岛White Lilies Island》中，她展露纤细创作的女性本色，缔造包括〈That Day〉、〈Wrong Impression〉、〈Beauty On The Fire〉三首UK排行金曲，专辑一首〈Satellite〉也在台湾造成轰动，确定她独特的清新摇滚派路线，今年复出歌坛，推出全球歌迷引颈期待的全新专辑《等爱时分Counting Down The Days》，不但专辑在英国榜上打败玛丽亚凯莉空降冠军，首支精心酿造的单曲〈Shiver〉找来威尔杨英国榜冠军金曲〈Leave Right Now〉的畅销写手Eg White和安妮蓝妮克丝御用制作人史蒂芬利普森全力打造，不光拿下英国单曲榜第八名，单曲也成为英国点播榜冠军金曲，缔造一次成功的音乐回归。
全辑以完全娜塔莉的专属风格营造出既细腻又舒服的流行/英澳摇滚调性，绝对是近期最精彩的女声唱作专辑，特别是去年和澳洲摇滚乐团Silverchair主唱Daniel Johns结婚的娜塔莉在新辑中有许多来自Daniel启发的音乐灵感，其中曲风轻快的〈Satisfied〉是Dainel一手创作与制作的歌曲，那种淡淡甜美的感动完全在娜塔莉充满美感画面的嗓音展现，而Dainel也制作了充满等待爱意的专辑同名曲〈Counting Down The Days〉。另外专辑也有制作Blur专辑《Think Tank》的Ben Hillier、本名为David Kosten的电音新锐Faultline加上先前曾共同合作的知名制作人Gary Clark、Ian Stanley都在制作阵容中，娜塔莉本人也贡献专辑12首歌曲中的10首创作，每首歌曲都可嗅出娜塔莉丰沛的创作才情和成熟却惬意的文字，让专辑更增聆听感。
