[分享]Live 8创新世界纪录2640万封短信支持
据组织者称，全球各地大约2640万人在星期六（7月2日）发送短信支持“Live 8”扶贫演唱会要求取消最贫穷国家债务的活动，创造了一项世界纪录。在费城协调短信支持活动的Ralph Simon说，这肯定是规模最大的一次政治呼吁运动。全球各地同时举行10个音乐会，要求解决非洲的贫困问题。费城是音乐会的举行地点之一。
Simon表示，以前在一次活动中一天发送的短信数量最多的纪录是580万条短信。那次活动是电视观众对《美国偶像》电视剧投票选举获胜者。
Simon表示，公平地说，我们收到了从阿尔巴尼亚到津巴布韦等全球各个地方的人们发来的短信。这个线路将开通到7月底。他说，西欧国家发来的短信最多，但是，他们有提供具体国家的统计数据。
爱尔兰著名摇滚歌手的Bob Geldof和U2摇滚乐团的Bono主办了这次音乐会，旨在推动全球最富有的8国集团领导人采取行动消除贫困。8国集团领导人本周将在苏格兰的Gleneagles召开会议。
