若是还没有机会到瑞典Ahus这个地方，可以透过Acid House Kings、Red Sleeping Beauty、Starlet和Club 8，听到当地清新的吉他音乐。特别是Club 8八号会所，在听过他们的首张专辑“Nouvelle”之后，相信就会被他们所创造的Jazz-Bossa Pop风格所吸引。而且，更会迷恋上在他们的音乐中，所展现的简单与天真。

1996年的夏天，Club 8八号会所推出了他们的第一张专辑“Nouvelle”，当时团员Johan和Karolina两人才20出头；20岁年轻的声音现在听来，像是有一种冻结快乐时光的魔力。

The friend I once had

2002年Club 8八号会所，带着喜爱他们音乐的朋友们的期待，推出了第二张专辑“The Friend I Once Had”。这张专辑似乎是为了已经从情人变成了朋友的Johan和Karolina，作了一个注解，专辑中的几首歌曲，像是“I Wish You'd Stay”、“The End Of The Affair”，就像是在追述这段恋情的结束。

不过，Club 8不会因一眛伤感，掩饰对美好流行旋律的热爱。“The Friend I Once Had”这张专辑，从一开始的“Everlasting Love”，清脆的琴声配合上Karolina甜美歌声，令人马上就有驾车出游的好心情；而“All I Can Do”和“Tomorrow Never Come”这两首歌曲，摇摆着Bossa Nova的轻快惬意。

“Summer Rain”这首歌，是Club 8第一次尝试使用摩登的电子节拍，听着讨喜的鼓间奏声，感觉除了可爱，再也想不出其他的形容词。最后一首“Missing You”，有着Johan谱写出Synth-Pop的风华，交织出Saint Etienne和Pet Shop Boys的流畅，还有Karolina永远不变的纯真、乐观的歌声。

当还在小心翼翼的把“Nouvelle”捧在掌心，深怕碰坏那一份单纯童稚的时候，Johan和Karolina却已经稳健地踏出成长一步。“The Friend I Once Had”让Club 8获得成功回响，其后的混音专辑也延续着热潮，将在90年代的Indie-Pop界留下经典一页。

如果喜欢Sarah Records，喜欢简单而且清新的吉他音乐；或是喜欢阳光充沛的早上，繁星满天的晚上。相信也一定会喜欢Club 8八号会所。

Spring came, rain fell
2002

来自瑞典，由女主音Karolina甜美和男主音Johan羞涩的歌声所组成的Club 8，终于在2002年发行了让人期待已久的第4张专辑“Spring Came,Rain Fell”。第一首We're Simple Minds，出现了Karolina久违的温柔歌声，而乐曲的行进节奏也满布St. Etienne的灵气，再来便是细声细气的SpringCame, Rain Fell，感动的是歌词If you want me now/you don't have to try so hard...；歌曲Close To Me是一大惊喜，加上太空感的游离音效，来得是小巧格局的Krautrock风格。The Chance I Deserve用上了Euro电子跳舞节奏，没想到Club 8也可以来得那样醒神。Friends And Lovers的感伤浪漫，还带来阴郁沉静的Trip-Hop节拍。整张专辑还有三首短曲的穿针与结尾，不像从前随意叙事的心情笔记，现在已有完整成熟的深刻表达。

经过了七年的历炼，Club 8脱离了青涩纯真的少年情怀，掌握音乐的层次也更加提升。在这张Strangely Beautiful里面，多样的音乐风格不一而足：When Lights Go Out是典型的Saint Etienne式腼腼电气音响；Stay by My Side低回缥缈；Between Walking and Sleeping是难得的吉他演奏，耽美得令人心碎；This is the Morinig精简的醇甜，余韵无穷；俏皮可爱的The Next Thing You’ll Take里Karolina游刃有余的轻松诠释，让人直想奔向湖边野餐；Johan则在Saturday Night Engine里热力十足的玩起摇滚味十足的synth-pop旋转花车。

总体来说这张专辑的每首歌曲都有清晰的定调，在一贯温暖的调性之下各有风格，不论是旧雨新知，都不能错过这张Club 8的全新力作：Strangely Beautiful。
