It is generally believed that education is of vital importance in individuals’ development and well-being of societies. What should education consist of to fulfill both these functions?

[replyview]With the rapid development of modern society, education is becoming more and more crucial to both individuals and societies. The issue over what education should consist of has considerably aroused people’s wide concern. In this essay, I seek to explore this complicated topic from diverse perspectives and what influence could be brought.
Among the most important aspects education should consist of, one should be stressed is professional knowledge education. On one hand, under the fierce competitive circumstance, people who have professional skills and experience attract many big companies. Therefore, study about one special area gives people more opportunities to hurt an ideal job. On the other hand, this education is also significant to develop societies in a long run.
At the second place, what is also worth noticing is that physical education is necessary for students, especially for teenagers. If you want to achieve successfully in the modern societies, strong body is the first premise, which makes you always in sharp. So education should push people to take care themselves and this could bring great benefits to the healthy society.
Last but not least, we should not lose sight of psychological education. Psychological problems are serious nowadays and a sizable percentage of people suffer from them. A survey conducted by a famous research organization indicates that over 40 percent of students have various psychological problems, who really need help from school and society. Even worse, if such problems cannot be solved, they could hamper the progress of well-being society.
Judging from what I have been discussed above, we may safely draw the conclusion that three aspects cannot be separated in education, which play vital important roles in the growth of individuals and societies. The fulfillment of both people and societies can be done as long as we lay emphasis on three aspects mentioned above.

Recently whether traditional culture and customs should be used as tourism attractions has become a controversial issue.

[replyview]Views on this issue vary greatly. Some people claim that it is reasonable to promote traditional culture and customs by tourism. The reasons are as follows: First, tourism can prevent traditional culture and customs from disappearing. Many places in the world are confronted with the danger of losing their traditional culture and customs because those traditional culture and customs are not known to the world so that they can’t get well protection. Second, tourism can bring a great deal of money which can be used to preserve the traditional culture and customs. Finally, tourism can enhance cultural exchange between people from different places.
Opponents, however, argue that it is not acceptable to take traditional culture and customs as tourism attractions. Firstly, modern activities may pose a bad impact on the traditional living style. The traditional life routine may be disturbed. In this case, tourism can not conserve traditional culture and customs .What’s more, the local environment must be influenced by tourism. More and more shops, restaurants and hotels may pollute the water and the air in those areas. More and more trees may be cut down to make way for the constructions. Besides , many valuable cultural relics may be damaged or even disappear, which must be a great pity. Examples can be found in many places all over China such as Lijiang Old Town in Yunnan province.
From my point of view, we should take effective countermeasures to preserve those precious traditional culture and customs. Before making any decision, both sides of the issue have to be considered carefully. If the advantages of certain measure outweigh the disadvantages , the traditional culture and customs may be well protected and promoted.

【Topic】We can get knowledge from news, but some people think we can\'t trust the journalist, What do u think? And what do you think is the important qualities that a journalist should have?

[replyview]Prompted by the fast development of the media, people can get lost of knowledge and information from news, but whether we can fully trust the journalist has become a thorny issue. People have been attaching greater weight to this problem. In this essay, I will try to explore this controversial issue and seek out some effective factors.

When it comes to news of today’s newspaper, different people have different attitudes. Personally, I think some news in some newspaper are misleading and cheating, especially the news about entertainment。Some journalists even produce or imagine a story and write it as a   piece of news. The only task for they do so is just to achieve the major’s attentions. However some news from some famous media, for instance, BBC and Guangzhou Morning Post are true and responsible.   This kind of news are always accompanied by data and evidences which are much more believable. They just tell the truth and what happened exactly.

Why some news is unbelievable while some are responsible and true? I believe that the qualities of a journalist contribute to this complicated phenomenon. Firstly, as a journalist, he or she should have a strong sense of responsibility. The journalist needs to tell the truth and the fact, be responsible of what he writes and talks. Furthermore, he must have skills of expressing himself by writing. He just needs to use exact words and suitable phrases to tell the public the fact, with out any imaginations. The last but not the least, he should be objective. What he needs to do just to tell what the fact is, it doesn’t need any personal ideas or emotion.

It is a brazen violation of the people’s basic right to know the truth of the world that journalists are cheating in the newspaper. As we should read a novel when we want to read a story, we should read a Newspaper when we want to now the truth. It is high time that both the government and the whole media make concerted efforts to let all the news are believable. I strongly hope that we can know what we want to know and what we should know from our media.
