mike oldfield,英国作曲家,出生日期:1953年5月15日.moonlight shadow的创作人.14岁时就与姐姐合组民谣二重唱，1973年出版的《tubular bells》，为.恐怖经典电影《大.法.师》增添阴森慑人的气氛。专辑中mike oldfield亲自演奏了近30项的乐器，不仅被誉为乐器天才，其中电子合成器的运用，也被视为日后新世纪音乐的起源之一，《tubular bells》成为他不朽的代表作，1992与1998年更出版了《tubular bells》的第二、三集续作。70年代，他尚有一些演奏专辑出版，不过由于忧郁的个性与压力双重影响，mike oldfield处于精神崩溃边缘，因此他过着隐士的生活甚至接受治疗。80年代，专辑《qe2》是他另一张代表作品，而从《five miles out》、《crises》专辑之后，流行的元素再加入女歌手的客串主唱都使他的音乐听来爽朗，似乎已走出阴霾、诡谲的心里状态。
Moonlight Shadow是mike oldfield尝试加入人声演唱来丰富旋律情感写出的畅销佳作之一.据说此歌还是暗指john lennon遭暗杀,或许大家从歌词意思和mv内容可以看出点眉目吧!

因为原版的高质素给人们流下深刻的印象,在那年代慢慢就地流行起来,所以之后越来越多的歌手不断的翻唱.风格也各自不一,每个歌手都唱出了自己的风格来不断地延续着这个经典!

dana winner翻唱的moonlight shadow是比较有代表性的.

dana winner是比利时女歌手,这版本充满欧陆民谣风.节奏由慢而快.开始的时候是很柔和舒服,当渐渐步入高潮时,节奏就开始轻快,轻快的节奏会让人随着节奏而偏偏起舞.我认为dana winner的声线很适合moonlight shadow,因为很甜美柔和,很适合这首歌要代表的寓境.
