Tutors wanted for an English Summer Camp in Guangzhou

already in China are also welcomed. Preferably with background in education,

What You Need To do: Lead English Camp in China

We are organizing an innovative activity for kids in China: a large-scale # d, n3 ?) |. t
summer camp for learning English using phonics. Here is summary of what is 5 V/ {6 Z! @* {
going to happen at the Camp:
# D# J3 T1 f/ t# f. P5 B- j/ B* Q0 o( s7 G- D
1. The Camp will host up to 1000 students ranging from age 8 to age 16,
( r" X* `4 K$ q; {mostly from Guangzhou City, Guangdong Province, but some from other areas in
- Y x Q( ^7 X: S8 {1 yChina. Campers will live in the Camp for 21 days. The camp is planned to be
1 p* A2 J8 k; {; _5 m Jfrom July 17, 2005 through August 6, 2005.

2. We invite you from English speaking nations to act as team leaders and
1 y( I3 ?- o5 q9 P5 Ctutors for these kids./ O4 q8 X m* C( A: m/ s% a; ?8 a
" h% p" D! e0 ^& ?3. Tutors will organize and direct kids to learn English language by
9 w" ]& k; u. L9 N7 e4 [( Bpracticing phonics etc. Tutors will help organize all possible activities
$ `5 L$ ]6 A* L8 f7 A, rlike story telling, poetry, discussions of their colleges, and outdoor
* [9 @+ a+ ~$ m7 m3 [* d/ oactivities… : s- U% V% g+ b' C- s, x7 b
: F& g8 H, c1 V; E9 nThe location of the Camp will be a nice hot spring resort in Qingyuan, north 6 F- ?( a. c% {% y( Y- e# q
of Guangzhou. The International Culture Exchange Center of the Guangzhou 7 P: G' }: m2 F2 g( p$ Q* s" x% \
Municipal Government will oversee and advise the camp activities. All 4 g% _# c* m [% J
necessary procedures and measures will be taken to protect the safety of the ; ^5 ^9 x# a3 P$ W1 W! ?
camp and the health of the participants.

! t( @+ R6 \' A: Q5 GWe are now inviting native English speakers such as students from colleges 4 C6 K- y( z7 P
preferably at 3rd and 4th year and graduate level, and teachers or retired 9 x$ K0 ]7 h* ?1 a6 e% b* G( d
teachers with majors in performing arts, education, language, and other
s( ]2 w/ _( b' f) I- dhumanities to help us with this event as group leaders and tutors. This is a 6 q2 N7 d/ `; J; q4 H/ ^
low-budget event, but we will cover expenses of room and board, plus some
, T0 n' V' }! {( C- U) mnominal compensation(includ round-trip transportation, local 9 s4 |4 o8 \& `: e9 r" _# O: x
transportation,etc).
