Wanted: College sophomores, seniors, graduate students, teachers, and
1 K9 K# r/ r* N) j- hretired teachers who are native English speakers. Teachers, college students
( g! R8 d, A( v% v+ u( {already in China are also welcomed. Preferably with background in education, Z" y) G- K1 H! e9 }
language, literature, etc.
. R* h; a" N! m4 \3 H' rWhat You Need To do: Lead English Camp in China3 z: B5 z' e! T6 D- G5 l
What You Get: Stipend, room and board, transportation.! G v# r. ^ f K- m
$ r, @+ v* [0 T0 r' H3 W5 `, mWe are organizing an innovative activity for kids in China: a large-scale
6 Q0 }% Z% t, Y/ x; psummer camp for learning English using phonics. Here is summary of what is
$ S* G! ~! H4 o2 N0 Y) J0 }going to happen at the Camp:

1. The Camp will host up to 1000 students ranging from age 8 to age 16,
8 F' t4 n2 v7 F: A4 I/ n7 E kmostly from Guangzhou City, Guangdong Province, but some from other areas in
3 \9 Q6 w% Q a3 z& @" V- v) PChina. Campers will live in the Camp for 21 days. The camp is planned to be 5 R* H9 m! @: @$ W5 M: s) N
from July 17, 2005 through August 6, 2005.

$ ^! ]' _ S. G2. We invite you from English speaking nations to act as team leaders and 5 Y- F' t1 X) f% c
tutors for these kids.

/ Z( \ d, f+ p9 B# H3. Tutors will organize and direct kids to learn English language by $ G' m/ o/ R3 W
practicing phonics etc. Tutors will help organize all possible activities

The location of the Camp will be a nice hot spring resort in Qingyuan, north % ~+ N/ l7 f# w7 W P- ~
of Guangzhou. The International Culture Exchange Center of the Guangzhou
) S, \' Q$ g, c5 n: AMunicipal Government will oversee and advise the camp activities. All 5 Y0 \6 L( b" B, D c- E5 ?: }5 P
necessary procedures and measures will be taken to protect the safety of the ; W' l) H" @: i. D% k
camp and the health of the participants.. @' k& p* K7 t, b4 X

We are now inviting native English speakers such as students from colleges J: q. l2 H8 ^1 u( ~; u
preferably at 3rd and 4th year and graduate level, and teachers or retired * h. p$ I" R1 C# X. x
teachers with majors in performing arts, education, language, and other
6 P1 x9 w. k5 J/ Khumanities to help us with this event as group leaders and tutors. This is a
8 X B6 ~2 q7 m1 e; O: r* ylow-budget event, but we will cover expenses of room and board, plus some
2 R1 b7 d9 O6 x9 }$ A! fnominal compensation(includ round-trip transportation, local
