What You Need To do: Lead English Camp in China

We are organizing an innovative activity for kids in China: a large-scale * l% T5 {% g# m: ?0 C0 |* k
summer camp for learning English using phonics. Here is summary of what is
. H6 I8 L, T% ^0 b+ f( X: B. egoing to happen at the Camp:

{# G" K! v/ Q1. The Camp will host up to 1000 students ranging from age 8 to age 16,
$ F0 S k2 x1 ?/ V; l: z& v, l. \6 Imostly from Guangzhou City, Guangdong Province, but some from other areas in
8 E z7 _' k$ {& f: I& l- EChina. Campers will live in the Camp for 21 days. The camp is planned to be
% r" R3 L: o$ s+ K: ~, \! r$ Wfrom July 17, 2005 through August 6, 2005.8 S& A* w9 {2 c" Z l
! y2 g5 d+ p3 w1 x: l/ e0 z% ^: e+ t2. We invite you from English speaking nations to act as team leaders and # i( ^! {3 R2 q4 ^6 v! C/ J+ r4 J
tutors for these kids.! w# T5 q: x7 Z. W R
: `) E9 C: ]: z6 E! n# p3. Tutors will organize and direct kids to learn English language by ' O- z$ N" i3 ?- m. f
practicing phonics etc. Tutors will help organize all possible activities 4 O, m4 _- S4 @
like story telling, poetry, discussions of their colleges, and outdoor

" B# ~4 k! X# H& u! B+ kThe location of the Camp will be a nice hot spring resort in Qingyuan, north
+ L2 S+ O2 ?1 z1 L& Mof Guangzhou. The International Culture Exchange Center of the Guangzhou
6 J1 c: k: z0 R: @1 X* gMunicipal Government will oversee and advise the camp activities. All
4 z; N- `6 J4 O) Wnecessary procedures and measures will be taken to protect the safety of the

We are now inviting native English speakers such as students from colleges
) q4 [7 a% i6 Apreferably at 3rd and 4th year and graduate level, and teachers or retired t. f! p* y* h; w6 h# Y B- x" L
teachers with majors in performing arts, education, language, and other ( S6 N7 {" J# u) V
humanities to help us with this event as group leaders and tutors. This is a
3 R3 e0 T+ }6 W2 \/ l. llow-budget event, but we will cover expenses of room and board, plus some
2 h9 [# [1 D. @2 A0 t$ [6 Tnominal compensation(includ round-trip transportation, local
