ubuntu试用［安装篇］(更新使用体验)

以前都是用FC系列，现在想使用ubuntu，特别喜欢debian风格的apt-get。
我使用的是硬盘安装。看了网上的一些文章说硬盘安装要使用alternate版本，desktop版本还需要修改些东东，既然提供了硬盘安装版，那我就下载xubuntu-7.04-alternate-i386.iso吧。

PS：7.04版本被定为feisty。

关于xubuntu,kubuntu,eubuntu的区别，请自行查找。

一、安装前的准备
1、下载映像文件 ：http://cdimages.ubuntu.com/xubuntu/releases/feisty/release/xubuntu-7.04-alternate-i386.iso

2、下载initrd.gz和vmlinuz
要进行硬盘安装，还需要下载内核文件：建议从这里下：
http://ftp.sjtu.edu.cn/ubuntu/dists/feisty/main/installer-i386/current/images/hd-media/
我试过在官网下的，发现有问题。

3、由于XP系统还是需要使用，所以我这里是XP和LINIX共存的情况。如果只装linux的话可以跳过以下这一步。
首先在xp下用分区工具（PQMagic）分出一个空闲区，约5G大小。

4、下载grup4dos，
把里面的grldr文件复制到一个fat32格式的盘上，如C盘。
然后把2上下载的文件也放到C盘。

5、修改系统的boot.ini文件，在最后加入如下信息：
   c:\grldr="启动Grub"
并把timeout的值改为大于0的值。
ok，下面可以安装了。



    补充下：如果之前有装过Grub4Dos或者矮人DOS工具箱之类软件的话，可以搜下C盘下的menu.lst（一盘在C:/boot/grub目录下）
添加新行

　  title 安装uBuntu
# (用中文可能到时会出现乱码，不过这没关系,只是个菜单显示，看到uBuntu就行了)
     root (hd0,7)      
#第一个数字0是表示第一个硬盘,第二个数字7表示的是哪个分区
#C盘是 hd0,0 D盘是 hd0,4 之后EFG　从4开始递加
　  kernel (hd0,0)/vmlinuz root=/dev/ram ramdisk_size=64000 devfs=mount,dall
     initrd (hd0,0)/initrd.gz
     boot
#PS： 这个办法我没有具体试过,我装的是DESKTOP版，有人试了希望能说一声可不可行..

二、安装xubuntu

1、重启系统，在选择系统时选中“启动grup”，这时应该会出现grup>提示符，按下面输入：
grup>kernel (hd0,0)/vmlinuz root=/dev/ram ramdisk_size=64000 devfs=mount,dall
     initrd (hd0,0)/initrd.gz
     boot

注：(hd0,0)就表示第一个硬盘的第一个分区。如果你把文件放在其它盘，请自行修改。关于分区在linux下是怎样标识的，请查看相关文章。
然后就可进入xubuntu的安装了。


2.安装ing
要注意，如果出现选择语言包是否安装，网上的文章说是不要选上，但我安装时没有发现这个选项。
分区时请选择最大连续空闲分区。分一个swap分区和一个ext3
安装xwindow的时候，要选择一个软件包，请使用空格键表示选中。
grup请选择安装晨mbr。

安装过程中可能出现的问题：
（1）、找不到ISO文件。解决方法是，进入shell，输入：
mkdir /dev/loop
mknod /dev/loop/0 b 7 0
mknod /dev/loop/1 b 7 1
exit

（2）、未找到内核模块
这个是因为下载的内核模块不一致，如果出现这个，请与我联系。

三、配置

1、更新源
进入终端
sudo cp /etc/apt/sources.list /etc/apt/sources.list.bak
sudo vi /etc/apt/sources.list
删除里面的东东，加入以下源：

deb-src http://ubuntu.cn99.com/ubuntu/ feisty-security main restricted universe multiverse
deb-src http://ubuntu.cn99.com/ubuntu/ feisty-updates main restricted universe multiverse
deb-src http://ubuntu.cn99.com/ubuntu/ feisty-proposed main restricted universe multiverse
deb-src http://ubuntu.cn99.com/ubuntu/ feisty-backports main restricted universe multiverse
# deb http://ubuntu.cn99.com/ubuntu-cn/ feisty main restricted universe multiverse
保存。
执行下面命令进行更新：
sudo apt-get update
sudo apt-get dist-upgrade
更新过程中可能出现的问题：
正在读取软件包列表... 有错误!
E: Problem parsing dependency Depends
E: 处理 qsopcast (NewVersion1)时出错
E: Problem with MergeList /var/lib/apt/lists/ubuntu.cn99.com_ubuntu-cn_dists_feisty_main_binary-i386_Packages
E: 无法解析或打开软件包的列表或是状态文件。
这时需要把源里的一句含有“ubuntu-cn”的源去掉即可。
注意：有些程序在安装时可能需要到安装盘，因为是硬盘安装的，所以需要mount上iso文件
mount -o loop xubuntu-7.04-alternate-i386.iso /cdroom

2、安装一下编译环境
sudo apt-get install linux-headers-$(uname -r)build-essential

四、其它软件安装

1、安装eva
eva是基于kde一个QQ客户端，个人觉得这个客户端不错，安装也很简单
sudo apt-get install eva
再把输入法设置一下
sudo apt-get install scim-qtimm

其它的再补上。

可惜我一直装了个F4，然后一直没用过。

等内存升级后，再试试楼主所说的

桌面环境的菜单栏和状态栏恢复

一次登录的时候，修改了一下语言和会话，谁知道进入系统后，菜单栏和状态栏竟然不见了。
只看到桌面的几个图标，（其中有几个是fat格式分区的快捷图标，后面会介绍不在桌面显示的方法）

好，言归正传，没有菜单，是不是什么操作都不能做了呢?难道要重装？
答案当然不是啦。
首先，在window环境下是进入不了终端，但是我们是可以通过crtl+alt+F1进入命令模式的。
进入到自己的目录，执行以下命令
rm -rf .cache
rm -rf .config
把缓存和配置清掉。
然后把xfdesktop 这个进程kill掉。
网友说这时候执行 xfdesktop &
这时会出错，提示是要指定display参数。
看一下现在系统里的进程是怎样的。
hjack@ubuntu:~$ ps -ef|grep xfdesktop
hjack     4938  4914  0 21:32 ?        00:00:02 xfdesktop --sm-client-id 117f000101000117864182400000052330003 --display :0.0
试着输入一下这些参数不知行不行呢？我没有试过。

我是直接运行startx进入xwindow的。
当然最好的方法是重启系统shutdown -rf now

这时系统正常了。

我只知道了一样，纠正在上面说的不能用ROOT登陆桌面的说法，可以登陆的....

去掉桌面上fat分区的链接图标

把fat格式的分区在桌面以图标的方式显示，虽说方便，但不是雅观，呵呵，想把它们干掉。

在网上搜了一下，提到的方法都是说：

运行：gconf-editor
找到/apps/nautilus/desktop
去掉volumes visible的勾。

但是根本没有这一项，难道是7.04取消了这个？

总不能就让它们在桌面这样子逍遥自在吧。方法总是会有的。

下面就介绍一下另一种解决方案。

首先打开终端，sudo vi /etc/fstab
关于/etc/fstab这个文件，就是文件系统表，存放的是当前机器上的文件系统信息。具体请自己搜一下。

在文件未加入要挂载的fat分区。如：
/dev/sda1       /mnt/fat32_sda1 vfat    defaults,umask=0,iocharset=utf8,codepage=936    0       0

第一列是源文件系统，第二列是挂载点，第三列是文件系统的类型，第四列是属性，要定义iocharset为utf8，否则会有中文乱码，用gb2312也不行。

为什么要这样做呢？
因为默认会把fat分区挂在/media下，这样就会在桌面显示的。
在挂之前先建立挂载的目录，
sudo mkdir /mnt/fat32_sda1
我这里是
/mnt/fat32_sda1等。

保存后，执行sudo mount -a

OK，桌面变得清爽多了。

比如说如何安装解码器，这样可以看rmvb的电影。。
怎么播放字幕等等。。
